En route to Jackson Hole

We got up this morning and drove into downtown Boise. It's a nice city! We drove through the park/cultural district. Very impressive: public art, riverfront tubing and views, amphitheater, art museum, rose gardens, and more. Otherwise, Boise was pretty dead on a Sunday morning...

Leaving Boise, we traveled the entire width of southern Idaho. We finally left the Oregon Trail behind, and picked up the Snake River. Seems like we followed it forever! I got some nice pictures at various stops along the way.

Even the bridge offered some photographic possibilities...

We ate a picnic lunch at 1,000 Springs. Pretty amazing views! Everywhere we looked we saw waterfalls. We sat across the canyon from them, and admired the view (and balanced soda cans!) as we ate.

We decided we had to stop in Blackfoot, Idaho to see the Idaho Potato Museum. Sadly, it was closed, but we saw the giant potato out front - complete with butter and sour cream!

We finally arrived in Jackson, Wyoming tonight. Pizza for dinner hit the spot, and we are ready now to crash. After we watch our requisite episode of Lost (of course, we brought it with us!), I think we'll all pass out!
